1) Most of the mayflower compact is a bunch of the first Irish french and English settlers all agreeing that they would create their own christian morally just society in Virginia, because most of them were facing religious persecution they wanted to make a society out of the rule of their king.
2) The mayflower compact reflects old world society a lot because they are still acting as if they are loyal subjects to their monarch and are basing most of their logic off of the christian faith. However, the religious freedom, and democratic ideals of it are much more new world than relating to old world monarchical governments.
3) The fundamental orders of Connecticut were different from the mayflower compact because the orders were an actual constitution that had specific rules on how their society was going to be run. It also was less democratic, arguably, because it placed individual need fairly low on the spectrum.
4) The colonists of Connecticut wrote the constitution because they wanted to create a society after breaking away from Massachusetts were the needs of the society and welfare were placed first, because they thought that's what would bring the best order.
5) to help keep this order the fundamental orders of Connecticut included a lot of the typical Puritan type of punishments for individuals committing crimes, the worst punishments were for the crimes that were least christian.
