1. 640,000 people died in the Civil war, more than any other American war.
2. The loyalists of the Revolutionary war were tormented by people, and many more loyalists were exiled than confederates during the civil war.
3. A greater percentage of the military in the Revolutionary War died, compared to the Civil War, which is generally seen as more deadly because of the greater total death toll.
4. The Revolution lasted 8 total years, making it America's longest officially declared war.
5. Much of what made the Revolutionary war so unbearable was that the soldiers were so poorly supplied. Even at other times than famous Valley Forge, the troops were eating dogs and shoes just to get by.
